1. One-paragraph summary
JunkRabbit Austin is a junk removal service for Austin and the Hill Country suburbs, built for a city where most renters have no bulk pickup and leases turn over every August. West Campus apartments, East Austin bungalows, Westlake homes and new subdivisions from Round Rock to Kyle all get the same flat per-item price, carried out from inside. Customers pick items or upload a photo and see an itemized total before booking, with no call needed. Vetted, insured local haulers work 7 days a week from 8am to midnight, with same-day pickup when booked by 4 PM. A standard sofa is $126, a queen mattress $103 and a full truck $732.
2. What JunkRabbit is built for in Austin
Apartments and condos
Austin's on-demand bulk collection serves households with city curbside service, so apartments and condos on private hauling get no bulk route at all. A JunkRabbit pickup works the same in any building. See West Campus apartment cleanouts.
Lease turnover and student move-outs
Leases around UT and across the city cluster around August, and students move out every May. Same-day pickup when booked by 4 PM covers last-day move-outs.
Suburbs and HOAs
Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Leander and Kyle run their own collection, and HOAs add their own set-out rules. A pickup from inside avoids both. See HOA bulk trash in Austin.
Heat and storms
Central Texas heat and sudden storms ruin furniture left outside. Crews working 7 days a week until midnight mean nothing has to wait in the yard.

6. How a pickup works
- See the price. Pick items or upload a photo at austin.getjunkrabbit.com. The total appears on screen, with no call and no phone number needed to see it.
- Book. Choose an arrival window, any day 8am to midnight, and add a card. Same-day is available if booked by 4 PM.
- (If needed) COI. Add the managing agent at checkout; the certificate goes out within 1 hour.
- Pickup. A vetted, insured local hauler comes inside, takes items from any floor, disassembles if needed and carries everything out. You get text updates on the day.
- Price check. If there are extra items that weren't in the booking, the crew shows the updated price and waits for your approval before loading them.
- Disposal. We try to donate usable items when local charities accept them and recycle whatever we can; refrigerants are recovered from fridges and AC units.
7. vs Austin Resource Recovery bulk collection
Austin Resource Recovery runs on-demand bulk collection for households with city curbside service. It excludes refrigerant appliances, electronics, construction and demolition debris, tires and household hazardous waste including paint, and apartments and condos on private hauling aren't covered at all. The suburbs run their own programs. Confirm current rules on the city's on-demand collection page before setting anything out.
If you're on city curbside service with accepted items, the city program is the cheapest. JunkRabbit is for everything else: apartments and condos, fridges, TVs and tires, renovation debris, suburbs with different rules, items that need carrying out of the house, and anything that has to go today. See Austin bulk pickup vs paid junk removal.
8. vs national operators
National franchises such as 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Junk King typically quote by truck volume and confirm the final price once the crew sees the job. JunkRabbit publishes a flat price for each item online, so the total is known before booking, and the job is done by a vetted, insured local hauler. There is no stairs fee and no same-day surcharge. See JunkRabbit vs 1-800-GOT-JUNK in Austin for a side-by-side.
