How the pricing works
Two ways to be charged, and you get whichever is lower.
By item. You list what you have, each piece has a published price, and you add them up. Good for one sofa, three mattresses, a fridge and a treadmill - the ordinary Austin job.
By truck. When the list is long enough that itemizing stops being worth the typing, we price by how much of the truck the load fills: a quarter is $241, three-eighths is $338, a half is $431, five-eighths is $513, three-quarters is $587, seven-eighths is $661 and a full truck is $732.
The minimum for any visit is $75. Disposal is included. Carry-out from any floor is included. There is no stair fee, no elevator fee, no same-day surcharge and no fuel line. The number you are quoted before booking is the number you pay.

The truck ladder, and when it wins
Once a job is a room rather than a list, the truck price is usually the cheaper one.

The crossover is not always where people guess. A sofa at $126 plus a loveseat at $119 is $126 + $119 = $245, which is above the $241 quarter truck - so that job books as a quarter truck instead. A queen mattress at $103 plus a standard dresser at $126 is $103 + $126 = $229, which stays under $241 and books by item. The quote tool does this comparison for you and applies whichever is lower.
Three Austin jobs, priced
A West Campus apartment at the end of July. Two twin mattresses at $82 + $82 = $164, two standard bed frames at $68 + $68 = $136, and a sofa at $126. The itemized list is $164 + $136 + $126 = $426, so the half truck at $431 is close and the itemized price stays the one you pay.
A Round Rock garage after four summers. A treadmill at $115, a propane grill at $71, a lawn mower at $65 and a large junk pile at $208. That is $115 + $71 + $65 + $208 = $459, so the five-eighths truck at $513 is not needed and the half truck at $431 comes out cheaper.
A Travis Heights bungalow clearing one bedroom. A queen mattress and box spring as a set at $143, a solid queen frame at $126 and a nightstand at $57. That comes to $143 + $126 + $57 = $326.
What is not on the bill
- Stairs. No charge, at any floor, with or without an elevator. This matters in a city where so much rental stock near campus is three-story walk-up.
- Distance within the service area. A pickup in Pflugerville, Kyle or out toward Lakeway is the same published price as one in Hyde Park.
- Disassembly. Taking a bed, a shed or a sectional apart to get it through a 1930s doorway is part of the job.
- Disposal and recycling. Included in every item price and every truck tier.
- Same-day. No premium for it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum charge for junk removal in Austin?
$75 per visit. Anything priced below that comes up to the minimum - a single nightstand at $57 or a microwave at $30 books at $75. Most real jobs clear it easily: a sofa alone is $126 and a standard refrigerator is $164.
How much is a full truck in Austin?
$732. The ladder runs $241 for a quarter, $338 for three-eighths, $431 for a half, $513 for five-eighths, $587 for three-quarters, $661 for seven-eighths and $732 for a full load. You are charged by item or by truck, whichever works out lower for your list.
Do you charge extra for stairs or a walk-up apartment?
No. Carry-out from any floor is included in the published price, elevator or not. Given how much of the rental stock around campus and Riverside is three-story walk-up, a stair fee would mean most Austin quotes were wrong before the crew arrived. Ours are not.
Is there an extra charge for a refrigerator or an AC unit?
No. A standard refrigerator is $164, a side-by-side or French door is $183, an outdoor AC condenser or heat pump is $115, and a large window unit is $109. Sealed-system handling is inside those prices. There is no separate refrigerant or environmental fee.
Do you cover Round Rock, Pflugerville, Leander and the hill country?
Yes, at the same published prices. A long gated driveway in Steiner Ranch or Lakeway costs the same as a flat pull-up in Crestview. There is no distance surcharge inside the service area and no premium for an alley-loaded garage in Mueller.
Can I get a price without a phone call or a site visit?
Yes - that is the point of publishing the list. Type what you have into the quote box and the total comes back immediately, itemized or by truck tier, whichever is lower. No estimator visit, no callback, and no revised number once a crew is standing in your driveway.
