Propane tanks must be detached and disposed of separately — a full tank can't ride on the truck. Trampolines and swing sets are disassembled by the crew; you don't need to take them apart first.
When the free options work — and when they don't
We'd rather you use the free route when it fits, so here's the honest split.
Use the city. Routine clippings, small trimmings and modest amounts of leaves belong in the compost cart — that's exactly what it's for, and it costs nothing. Austin also runs scheduled brush and bulk collection windows that handle a real pile if your timing lines up with them.
Call us instead when the volume is far past what a cart holds, when the pile can't sit for weeks waiting on the next collection window, when the material is excluded (treated lumber, stumps, construction-grade debris), or when the pile is in the back yard and nobody wants to drag it to the street. Can you take storm debris after a wind or ice event?
Yes, and it's one of the most common calls in this category. Central Texas produces limb-dropping wind, and the occasional ice event brings down far more than the cart can absorb. We haul what's already down. What we don't do is tree work — cutting, felling and climbing require an arborist crew, and we'd rather point you to one than pretend otherwise.
Do you remove stumps?
We can haul a stump that's already been ground out or dug free, priced by volume with the rest of the load. We don't grind or excavate — that's tree-service work with different equipment. If the stump is still in the ground, get it out first and we'll take it with everything else.
